The Need Continues

Dear friends,

Many of you who have responded to our email regarding COVID-19, and we are grateful for your support beyond words.  Things seem to be looking better, but by all accounts, we are not out of the woods yet.  The moms at Exodus Ministries have still not returned to work and will not do so until the shelter-in-place orders issued by the local government have been lifted.  The risk of having one of our moms being infected and bringing it back to her own children and the rest of the Exodus community is just too great.  Needless to say, the limitations placed on their mobility has been very frustrating to the moms since they are not working and the children are home with them all day, every day.

We continue to love each of the moms and each of the children with the love of Jesus.  On a rotating basis, at least two members of the staff are on the property Monday through Friday, as usual, with the rest of the staff working remotely.  The needs of our precious families are not mindful of the impact the virus is having on the world around us, so, while there is some risk to staff, we have been called to this work by God, and it is His will not our own which we seek to fulfill.

Communities Foundation of Texas, United Way and the Dallas Cowboys have teamed up to present North Texas Giving Tuesday Now on Tuesday May 5, 2020. This emergency campaign will give our community the chance to help us serve families by providing critical funds.
