He is trustworthy

To Our Generous Friends & Supporters:

There’s no doubt about it. This has been a year like no other! And no matter how 2020 has impacted your life, God’s people can acknowledge that we’ve had an amazing opportunity to trust Him in radically new and unprecedented ways. Moreover, while it’s true that we’ve been pulled and stretched like never before, we’ve also seen the magnificent glory of God shine through it all. This year, we’ve learned anew that He is trustworthy, He is good, He is full of grace, and He remains steadfastly present with us, even as our world spins in unfamiliar directions.

At Exodus Ministries, life continues, and our women are flourishing! Even amid the threat of Covid-19, our staff and resident families have stayed the course together. Our programs have continued, albeit in varying forms because of limitations introduced by the Pandemic. We’ve all learned to speak Zoom! And while we never had to close our doors, we did have to reconfigure our daily routines and class schedules. This includes Celebrate Recovery, parenting classes, budget & finance classes, Bible Studies, and more. Indeed, rearranging our lives in order to keep pace with dramatic changes in our culture, economy and society has become the new normal. These adjustments have been difficult for everyone, but God has provided through every part of it. In fact, we had an extraordinary Graduation Ceremony earlier this Fall! Our dear friend, Natasha Weir, successfully completed Exodus’ twelve-month intensive, comprehensive, residential discipleship program, and put an end to a 20-year cycle of abuse and drug addiction! Congratulations to Natasha and her toddler, Samuel, on this extraordinary accomplishment! In Tasha’s own words:

“Exodus is the godly guidance that I prayed for. Each one of the staff members, at one time or another, has provided me with encouragement and tough love when needed. Truly, they have shown me love with no conditions. Since the start of my program year, I have finally earned my GED! This is certain to open new doors, and lead to many better things for me and my family. Also, my relationship with the Lord has grown tremendously, and I’m now able to see beauty in my life like never before. I can honestly say that this is the best “high” I’ve ever had. The Exodus program has taught me that I am worth it! I’ve learned self-discipline. I’ve learned to think before I act. I’m able to be a mom! In fact, if not for Exodus, the chances of my retaining custody of my son, Samuel, would be very slim. And yes, I’m so grateful for the countless volunteers who have taken the time to come and pour into all of the Exodus moms, including me, and for walking right beside me through this incredible journey every single day. Thank you so much for believing in me when I didn’t know how to believe in myself.” – Natasha Weir

As we come to the final stretch of this unprecedented year, I’m asking you to include Exodus Ministries among the organizations that you will select for a generous end-of-year gift. Would you prayerfully consider how your year-end financial contribution could directly influence the lives of our resident moms and their children? There are so many amazing stories like Natasha Weir’s.  Please, would you join us in shaping those stories? We know that none of what happens here is possible without God’s infinite mercy, or the impassioned support of faithful donors like you!

On behalf of the Staff and Executive Board at Exodus Ministries, Merry Christmas! We can’t wait to see you in the new year, and to discover together what God will do in 2021 as we continue to make disciples and pursue life transformation through authentic, Christ-centered relationships!

Cheerfully serving,
