February 2020 Newsletter
Happy February! It is, what most people refer to as, “the month of love”! As we think about what love really means, we are reminded of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
This is what we, as a ministry, hope to embody. For many looking in, the women in our program have a laundry list of “wrongs”, and have not always “rejoiced in the truth”. But today is different. This year is different for so many of them. They finally have a place to call home, a legal job, people that choose to pour into them and their children. We see miracles happen every day; often it is salvation, family reconciliation, forgiveness, conviction, honesty, and so much more. We have the privilege of celebrating with women and children as they change the direction of their lives, for the better.
Love truly lives here.
It’s not simply the staff or the residents, but the Children’s Volunteers, the Teachers, the Mentors, the Donors, the ones who furnish apartments or plan birthday parties.
It’s you.
We are launching our “Love Lives Here” campaign to restore dignity to the women and children we serve. Our building needs continual upkeep and repairs to maintain safe living spaces for each of our residents. We need to renovate bathrooms, kitchens, plumbing, and do repairs. We cannot do that without your help!
Please consider becoming a monthly donor, by clicking the button below, and help us in our efforts to restore dignity and a safe residence our families. A seemingly small donation can have a huge impact on the lives of our residents. Together, we can restore dignity!
We are so excited to announce that one of our newest graduates has been offered, and accepted, the role as Resident Manager! We are so proud of Kambri, and can't wait to see her thrive in this role! Please help us welcome Kambri!
